The GE image says that this is 5 Km from Soibada. It wouldn't matter where or what Soibada is, this is remote!! Though the Indonesian Government built some roads in Timor (the 100s of years of Portuguese colonialism created almost no infrastructure), they didn't penetrate this area - footpaths will get you here...so be ready for an adventure.
I have provided a reasonable quality image, so I encourage any viewer to click on the picture to zoom in. You will appreciate the village with its new church. I haven't worked out where their source of water is. Nor what they do here for I can't see gardens, nor coffee plantations, though the burning of the ridge lines indicate that they may have some livestock. Anyone with local knowledge or any good interpreters of geographic photos, please tell me what you know or can work out. Please.
