From the book, The Economy of Kent: "In 1900 on the White Cliffs of Dover the benefits of American cereals were advertised by two gigantic notices marked 'Quaker Oats'." In the dip in the cliff-top left of centre are two boards. The smaller is a vertical white rectangle within a red border rectangle. The second is sideways on so no other detail can be made out. There are two men standing to the right of the larger board (also a group of people on the pebble beach).
