Yornaning pool/dam facing east. This was originally dug in a stream bed at the end of the nineteenth century to provide fresh water for steam trains at Yornaning Siding, but became too saline for that purpose. During the twentieth century it became the supply of potable water for the town of Narrogin, 33 kmm to the south. In the 1950s it was superseded by Waroona Dam near the west coast.
