[[[PIXELECTA]]], Who would be a sailor?? Bob

Voted and YS.

Thank you Enrique, Bob

Wonderful!

Cheers VKeith, The Northerly storm had abated by this time, although it was windy, a high tide combined with a large swell from the north-east made the sea very dangerous. Some ships would have waited a little longer before sailing if they were northbound. Bob

I'm just trying to figure out how taking this photo wasn't risky! I guess you used a long lens? I look at the pier and it looks long. Scary! Just a great shot.

VKeith, The camera is a Nikon D80 with a 18-135 zoom lens. if you look at the picure after the close-up of the wave on the pier, the wave and spray looks to be about 150 feet in the air. I think I could have been in danger but it was mostly spray. There was a few people there but most were using mobile phones, I was the only one who had arrived specifically to photograph the rough weather. Bob

The dynamics of this scene is just amazing! You have my vote :) Cheers :)

Thanks wandzioh, The zoom lens has made the waves appear even more threatening, the pier is nearly 900 metres long, so I was about 1Km from the ship. Bob

Excellent seascape. Well done.

Thanks Boumlik M I like your Poppy pictures. Bob
