This photo (stitched with 14 portrait photos) was taken from the Feilai Monastry, the main viewpoint of the Meili and its sister peaks. The sun was less than cooperative in the morning the photo was taken, failing to cover the peaks with the golden alpenglow I hoped for. Nonetheless, as I was told, being able to see the peaks in their entirety is by itself a blessing few tourists are granted. Kawa Garbo, the highest of the peaks, at 6,740 meters above sea level, is still a virgin peak no one ever summits and will not likely to be summitted in the foreseeable future. These peaks are regarded by the local Tibetans as sacret mountains commanding total respect.
By the way, all of my photos posted here are geomarked with the locations of the spots where I took the photos, not the locations of what was photoed.
Nice work. How did you manage to stitch so seamlessly. I suppose you had your camera mounted on a sturdy tripod and had the camera panning across.
Inevitable that oyu have the best picture of all. Congratulations for an excellent job.
freecitizen, yes I used tripod and panned the camera. Not a nice stitch though, with some color difference on the left side.
