Clarksdale, Mississippi. The train does not stop here anymore!

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The Last train to Clarsdale, (Take the last train to Clarksdale - The Monkees!), has left long time ago. You will not be there at 4:30, even if you try to make reservation. The rails still dissect the town, but today, these would not inspire any blues songs, except one about a Railway Lost.

The Mississippi Delta Railroad continues to operate the old Yazoo (love the name) and Mississippi Valley Railroad main line between Lula and Clarksdale. The railroad currently stores railroad cars for owners needing a parking place, while the railroad cars wait for freight loads.
