I enjoy your photos, and the way you often crop them to make a different statement. It's hard to do something different with this lady. Check the location. someone move your photo to the middle of Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Thanks for the heads-up (and the praise.) I don't understand how a "normal" member could move the location of somebody else's photo. I though that there was a review process in place for this.
In any case, somebody (probably the same person who moved the location) also copied and re-uploaded my photo as his. (See this image, it is identical to my photo.)
By the way, this photo was not cropped, just taken with a reasonably good zoom. Any cropped photo uploaded by me will have a 'c' in the [001234c] ID field.
I had not even ever thought someone would steal someone's picture, and then they compound the stupidity by not even altering it slightly. It is just a copy.
Whether you "crop" a scene in the viewfinder or on the computer ,to me it's part of an artisitc process. One of the things I love about digital photography is the second chance to re-position my subject so that the picture says what I want it to.
Great shot. I was disappointed not to get over to the statue when I was across at Christmas. We were only in NY for 2 days, so the queue for the ferry would have taken about half our time there.
Matthew, what the insiders do is get on line to be the first trip over in the morning, and get it out of the way. It means an early wake up. good luck next time.

Matthew, I hope you did the next best thing and took a trip on the free Staten Island Ferry, which passes Liberty Island.
