Beautiful photograph. I remember these loco's pounding past my home near Smethwick Rolfe St Station in the 50's & early 60's. We were poor then, but we were happy (now where have I heard that before?). How did you managed it, as I've never taken a satisfactory - let alone good - photo of a steamed up loco on the SVR. Thanks. I suppose timing helps, and maybe location. At this particular point, a footpath crosses the track - it's then just a matter of waiting. Also as this was February, the steam would have hung around a little longer than in summer.
