Thank you Again
Thank you, I'm glad you like the photo. Travelling by steam train is a unique experience!
Remembers me on my youth! Nice Foto!
Beautiful photograph. I remember these loco's pounding past my home near Smethwick Rolfe St Station in the 50's & early 60's. We were poor then, but we were happy (now where have I heard that before?). How did you managed it, as I've never taken a satisfactory - let alone good - photo of a steamed up loco on the SVR. I'm envious.
Thanks. I suppose timing helps, and maybe location. At this particular point, a footpath crosses the track - it's then just a matter of waiting. Also as this was February, the steam would have hung around a little longer than in summer.
Lovely Locomotive. Matthew.
Maybe it was used in Hercule Poirot Agatha Christi TV series.
Greetings from 'a steam fan' from Denmark.
Thanks Mogens. A lot of TV and film work happens on the SVR, so it wouldn't surprise me if you have seen it somewhere. I was lucky enough to watch the BBC film "The Singing Detective" at Arley station a few years ago.
Very beautiful, nice nature, and i love the trains:)
Hi Matthew! Very nice gallery! This steam train is very beautiful! I have also a nice selection of steam trains here in my sites! Also all active! Best Regards from Germany Andreas!
