Shut down for this winter - at last!

At last...... its warm enough PLUS we heard the wingbeat of chimney swifts last night in the chimney, so we let the log burner go out over night and woke to a wonderful warm spring day. Maybe we caused the bad weather all the time!

Thank you Patty

So the chimney swifts came back yesterday and the carpenter bees arrived today. Where are the hummingbirds?

It just brushed the 70s here today!!! Yeah... hooray.

What a beautiful stove, David, and a lovely image of it. So pleased - and envious - to hear of your excellent weather. And I'm sure you'll be seeing the hummers soon. All the birds here are creating nests. We had a 'summer' day a few days ago, but mostly it is grey, but mild and no wind to speak of. Happy hugs (O:

Go ahead, David ... rub it in ... don't forget the salt. Still cold and windy here, though we do get to see the sun on occasion.

Can't wait to see pics of the hummingbirds, but you can keep the bees! ;o)

Enjoy your spring!

Thank you dear Suzi

No hummers yet but the feeder is out and I'm waiting.

We caught some chickadees building a nest in my box today, absolute little darlings they are.

So sorry Patty I was sharing not rubbing it in!! :o)

Stay safe if you can't stay warm - David

I have recently been developing a new idea: the making-of videos of Panoramio photographs. In this case it could be one of the longest videos in history. Lots and lots of ultra careful polishing of the pots and pans!

Very cozy capture, nicely documented details.

An interesting idea Sixten - let me get back to you on that one............

:o)

We certainly need to fire these days..... its plenty warm now. I hope you are doing OK too.
