Pecan Tree at sunrise. Natchez, Mississippi

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Nanches Historical Park, arrived here early, before opening.

I had a self guided tour through the park grounds, but the main attraction, Melrose House (1841), was still closed. Park is free to enter.

It is a pecan tree, against the rising sun. I collected few nuts from the ground under it. Pecan is quite common in Mississippi and got to learn how to spot them and always had fresh pecans to snack on!

There were no squirrels to compete for them.
