Great photo, Jim! I am very much fascinated by the sea and I love its unpredictability, since I saw it for the first time, though I have been raised in a landlocked country.
Greetings, May

Beautiful picture of the raging sea. Greetings, Juan.

Thanks Juan , May and Fred. Hi guys, thanks for calling in and leaving such kind comments, I'm glad you like this one.
It is a great priviledge living, as I do, so close to the sea. It only takes a little effort to capture such scenes.
Best wishes to everyone.

we appreciate your effort very much, Jim ! thanks for sharing, Armagnac.
AXOTA, on March 29, 2008, said:
Dear Armagnac, I think we all share a fascination for the awsome power of the sea; and events like this provide the opportunity for some interesting shots. Many visitors flock to this place to participate in the sport of 'Wave-Dodging'. On the day the photo was taken, the emergency services closed access to the Sea-Front to prevent the public entering, so great was the danger. Never the less, some people ignore the warnings.
Your visit is always appreciated Armagnac.
Best wishes.

Greetings Mary Alice and its such a lovely surprise to find you here in this salty domain.
The sea wall here gets a real hammering from the elements and when she is realy angry, mother nature can be terrifyingly awsome in her power.
In 1953 (I was a boy of 12) this sea wall was demolished by a huge storm. The roadway adjacent is a primary route and closed for months for massive repairs.
I have a great love and respect for the sea. Its just as well, for I spend much of the summer months afloat, fishing here in the cold North Sea.
Thanks for your visit and kind comments Mary Alice.
Best wishes.

Hello Wil en Ed. I never fail to be overwhelmed by the incredible and unpredictable power of the mighty sea.
One can never under-estimate its violence and destructive force, and as a regular sea going fisherman, I venture carefully into this awsome element that demands so much respect.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Turbica, I almost missed your visit, but it caught my eye so thankyou for your amusing comment. I remember well the Quixote connection.
Querida Carlos. Quiero gracias por sus comentarios. Mis majores deseos para usted.
Thankyou Beth, It was my good fortune to capture that unique moment as the wave struck the seawall so violently. I love to watch that plume of salt seaspray flung with such little effort by the oceans mighty force.
See what you are missing here Urbi !!. The Moby boat would easily perish in this maelstrom. No fishing today eh.
I shall always be thankfull for your interest in my photos guys. thanks for dropping in.

I LOVE THE WAY THE WAVES JUST CRASH AGAINST THE CONCRETE...Its so apealing
AXOTA, on May 10, said:
You could have just said that in the first place and avoided the wrath of my tongue.
If that is a genuine remark, I will send you a card at Christmas.
Happy Snapper UK, on May 10, said:

AXOTA, on May 10, said:
I am totally devoid of any humour bobbo so it had better be a good joke.
AXOTA, on May 10, said:
By the way bobbyboy, you need to brush up on your grammar and spelling.
In the context send you one --, the proper application is to add an extra 'o' to the end word , so to becomes too
apealing requires the addition of another pee, yes! take a pee! get it? hence- apealing becomes appealing
Why don't you deploy the spell check man. Look cool, not dim!!

AXOTA, on May 10, said:
Now I just don't believe that backallylad!! In any event, I would much rather put you down!! My dog, any dog has more worth to me than many humans I know, and by the way, do not presume that your so called base animal credential puts you in a favoured light. I know and recognise base animals very well. regretfully, I was one myself not so many years ago. At least, I remain polite, civilised, honest and principled!! Where are you coming from bobbo????????
