You don't have the almost obligatory rock in the foreground, placed a third of the way across the image to indicate you have read the book Unda
But to this non-conformist (me) I like it all the better. My memory fails me on this one. Thats NOT The Buckle even though the cottage looks like it belongs up there. I am sure I should know it......
It makes me lang tay return - David
thank you Marketa very much for your nice visit i very much appreciate it!
thank you David! i do get annoyed myself at those foreground rules and thirds rules etc. i used to pay a bit more attention to these rules :) its just in our rivers you rarely can find the bit with no rocks :D i am very glad you like this stitch though. i think here the rock ruined my picture, my intension to show clarity of the water and riverbed rocks- it sticks out and it ruines the smoothness of the whole scene.
and YES David ;) it is Buckle :) just from sort of back side with different cottage :) Lagangarbh cottage. (the other one is black rock cottage on the edge of rannoch moor with buckle in the far background) it took me years to memorise these things in right order :D
im very pleased to learn you have somwhere in the back of your mind trip to scotland :) on our few last trips we noticed there are some new improvement projects under way - some parking lots, some roads... i believe in years to come scotland will get right up there on top with france in tourism. :)
Your intention worked just fine Unda
It is the Buckle is it indeed! I think I would barely recognize the place lassie (until it started raining) but in my younger days I was hardly away from Scotland!
For it to become popular with tourists, they have to fix the weather.
Excellent photo beautiful landscape! Like!
What a gorgeous image, Unda. I love everything about it!
Très beau reflet j'aime et je vote pour. Amitiés Marc
