there are tour boats that will take you too see the islands. The one picture above is suppose to be the smallest bridge in world between two countries

To previous commenter-- fairly unique among rivers, the St. Lawrence doesn't "rise six feet" because it's attached to Lake Ontario which is practically an inland sea: you'd have to flood the whole lake to get started on flooding the river. In an average year there's around a 3 foot variance in river level if you include the very low levels of say November/December, and in this photo you're looking at about the high end of that range.

That's why the St. Lawrence is replete with cute little places like this.

Oh and yes everything you see in this picture is in Canada. The Google Earth national boundaries are not drawn correctly here. Zavikon and the three neighboring islands are all Canadian.
