The Sun and Moon Pagodas

The Sun and Moon Pagodas are located on Banyan Lake in Guilin. The moon pagoda stands seven storeys high which is a glass tower. Implication of the carved doors and windows on each floor painted a different theme, rich in traditional Chinese flavor. The taller of the two, at nine storeys high, the Sun pagoda is copper decoration, consumed 350 tons of copper, gold and glitter, and a lift for visitors sightseeing ride. All components entirely by copper mural decoration, the whole tower of copper hit a three highest in the world - the world’s the highest copper tower, the world’s tallest buildings in bronze, the world’s tallest water tower. There is a 18 meters-long underwater aquarium link the Sun and Moon Pagodas. There is a wonderful walk along the lake’s edge which at night is just magic and is popular with locals and tourists alike.
