A dead Marri tree. If you look closely you can see a red coloured resin weeping out of this tree. It was used by ancient Aboriginals as a gum to secure spear heads to the spear shafts. You can chew this gum if you are desperate but don't swallow it unless you have a toilet close by. It will clean you out from both ends for at least 24 hours.
