Nice view on a little town inmidst so many trees, Foxx! Only when I had a look at the map, I discovered that it is part of a very big town, called Birmingham. Large, compared to the Swiss capital Bern with only 130'000 inhabitants. ;-) Thanks for the view!

My best greetings, May

Homewood is actually a suburb of Birmingham, located about four miles southeast of the downtown area. Birmingham is the largest city in the state of Alabama with about 230,000 people. It was at one time, along with nearby Bessemer, a major producer of steel. Historic Sloss Furnaces is located just outside of downtown Birmingham. It's been closed since 1971. They have a haunted house there which attracts thousands of people every October. Overall, Birmingham is a pretty nice place to visit. :0)

Thank you Foxx, for the information. A haunted house, how fascinating! ;-) It's amazing, that so many places attract attention as soon as there is something like a Nessy, a ghost or some other supernatural event maybe to be seen. ;-)

Greetings, May :-)

Yeah, there are some urban legends too. The October event is more well-crafted than many others in the region.

I just noticed that Disturbed is playing at Sloss Furnaces on May 9, 2008. It's not a band I'm interested in though.
