Fine example of Constructivism! Interesting, that the word Palace was used in Soviet times without a hint of contradiction. Palace of Sports, Pioneers, Justice... Spirit of the Revolution was: «Мир хижинам, война дворцам» (Peace to shacks, war to palaces), but many words changed their meaning with time, and now this Palace has a "Tickets" sign in the entrance :)

Constructivism is not very popular nowadays, but it still looks very modern. I guess many architects use it as inspiration or a starting point in their work.

This building might looks different, but has the same spirit. http://www.panoramio.com/photoexplorer#view=photo&position=99&withphotoid=6542497&order=datedesc&user=730897

Hi Maria, the link doesn't open for some reason, but it' ok. Is this building relatively new? Like with any timeless classic, it's hard to tell :)
