Thank you Marilyn, purdey and eme. I was pretty excited. Gosh, after all these years of wasted shots, finally I have discovered the secret of jellyfish! This shot was so easy. I was kneeling on a dock and there were several bobbing around in the water beside me. I chose one fairly near the surface. Like always. But this time I turned on the flash! Like magic, a real live-caught jellyfish photo. (I had to increase the contrast slightly at home, but really it was fine even without that.)

So I jumped up all excited with my great jelly catch, and on the other side of the dock, literally behind my back, a curious seal had popped up and spent a long moment looking at my daughter, who was kneeling and looking at something else in the water. The seal was close enough for her to touch (of course she didn't!). By the time I turned he was gone again. So that was "the one that got away".
