Is this photo the remains of the New Zealand scow Kohi? I have been searching for what remains of her and it was her last reported location.

No, I am afraid not. This is the hulk of the Janie Seddon http://maanz.wellington.net.nz/nzhistoricships/directory/Janie%20Seddon.html

On digging deeper:

http://www.nzcoastalshipping.com/kaiapoiships.html

Seems we had the Scow Kohi and steamer Koi (pronounced the same) in the area at the same time.

Oops, that last one is a temporary. Just search for:

westhaven wharf "kohi" site:.nz

Item about crafishing. The hulk can be seen in outline behind the white boat to the left

You are incredible! I cannot express my appreciation enough. My father, age 92, was skipper of the Kohi in 1942 and sailed her from Auckland to Noumea. He will never forget the voyage and still has the key to his cabin. I knew she was somewhere and have been searching to reunite the two of them.

This will be of interest if you have not already found it: http://www.navsource.org/archives/14/2027.htm and I suspect you may want to look in on a parallel exchange which I entered into: http://www.topix.com/forum/nz/whangarei/TGIGGQBJ7KCMR0FV7 Your father may well have known Theodore F Aldous! If so, you may wish to enter into this thread. Good hunting!
