Should be a museum here, it has that feeling about it..

Saw this basically in the side yard of a home on the main street. Couldn't resist getting a photo of it. Cant tell you anything about it. There was no plaques or anything to tell me.

No excuse mate. Go knock on the door and ask for an explanation. :-))

Maybe I should simply take a pair of shoes there to get repaired Stuart. I'd laugh if its still an operating business.

Hey, if they do good work, what does it matter??? And they probably don't have to worry about the commute! Like

Best wishes, Marlene

You're right Marlene. It doesn't matter and commuting would be excellent! My thoughts are that this building goes back in time along with the rest of this 1830's town and is not used for this purpose these days. Oatlands has real character and this old building adds to it.

Great. but imagine working in that little box...Lk.

Love this one. Sure in a time warp. Would love to know if it is still operating.

Tewbacka on April 26, 2013

No thanks Jock. I've done my time in little boxes. My office for some years was underground and it wasn't until someone walked in with an umbrella or something similar that you tell what the day was like. Nyra would know what that was like. She was there with me :-) and yes its a real time warp.

Great to see these old places Gary, LIKED

Have a nice day Marion:-)

Tewbacka on May 24, 2013

Oatlands is a great town to visit if you're a history buff Marion. Many of the building have a plaque on them telling you of their past life. Unfortunately this one didn't. Maybe its new:-) Glad you like it. cheers Gary.
