The "Hand" of Miles Davis (trumpet player)

Not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps after a second review [?]

The Hand with its mysterious gesture, is a hand in action of the coolest jazz trumpet player Miles Davis!

It is not an original image as I thought, but it was inspired by a photograph of Irving Penn used on 1986 Davis's Album Tutu

Here is the original use!. The artist here is Rachel David (no relation to Davis), but I am not 100% sure.

I was asking originally, what does this the gesture means and the answers were thoughtful and surprising.

Try the gesture your self, I can not keep the ring finger strait!

In many countries in the Middle East this equates to giving the finger to someone....
In this case and in our countries it is a good gesture...
Interesting!!!!!!
Beautifully composed & captured...
