The helicopter gazela (SA-341/342) is one of the most massively produced multifunction helicopters designed primarily for scouting, education, and anti-tank combat. In the Yugoslavian Air Force, as many as 200 of such helicopters constructed under license in the Soko factory in Mostar were in use. On 28th June 1991, during the war for Slovenia, Jože Kalan, the pilot, and Bogo Šuštar, the aircraft technician, escaped from YNA and joined the Territorial defence with exactly this type of gazela helicopter, with the serial number JLV 12660. The helicopter received a new code, T-001 Velenje, the Slovenian emblem, and the mark TO. In 2008, the Slovenian army successfully renovated the helicopter.
