Hi Νίκος!!! The Alto Valley is an economic - productive unit, a part in the Province of Neuquén and another at Río Negro. It is a valley where the confluence of the rivers Neuquén and Limay gives rise to the Negro river. The Y-shaped valley, is bounded on both sides by cliffs of sedimentary formation and extends 65 km along the river Neuquén, 50 km to over Limay and 120 km downstream of the confluence (Negro river). This is a true oasis in the desert steppe. Thanks to the wonderful system of irrigation and microclimate the valley is ideal for crops of fruit, the apples out here are marketed throughout the country, even exported all over the world!!! Also produced cherries, pears, plums, peaches, nectarines and grapes!!! In the autumn all trees is tinged with yellow, orange, ocher and red ... a really beautiful show!! Eeven the poplars, that are used as barriers to stop the strong westerly winds, especially in spring!!! Thank you very much for your visit, nice comment and Like!!!

Friendly greetings from Patagonia Argentina, Toto
