It's bad (the last time the water was this high was in 1993) but not as bad as it looks here. See this view in winter. It's just a little spring house only about 6 feet tall. So the water's up about 4 feet on the small building. The river level at this point was over 27 feet, which is 11 feet above flood stage. The floods in 1982 and 1993 were higher, but this is still a sight we don't get to see every day (thank goodness).

Thanks Gerry. Yes, at the crest every flat farm field you can see was underwater. There are many low-lying roads, or roads which dip into valleys, and most of those were closed in at least one place while we waited for the crest to pass.
