This young cyclist bravely cycled through the floodwater with his father, myself not far behind. The waters were the remainder of the June 2007 floods that blighted the country throughout the summer. The waters stretched unbroken except for an island at Chetwynd Bridge all the way to Croxall, probably a mile of road underwater, to depths of 3 feet.
