"The Ballroom" on John Street in what is still called the Entertainment district. Last few years the clubs are closing, partly because of economy, but mostly to make a room for more condominiums.
The young people who moved there because of the action, are starting a family and now prefer kindergarten to night club and good night sleep to the sound of throbbing Hip-Hop. (or occasional gunshots)
Telling sign is when Comedy club Second City is replaced by Marshall's Department Store. (8,000 pairs of shoes in every store.................)
There is some live music in the Ballroom, but not ballroom dancing. Main attraction are 60 TV screens and bowling! Replaced Montana restaurant and M-Lounge. (2006- 2010)
