Hawaiian Women in Worship

I had to make this photo into an art piece to respect the women whose photo I snapped during a beach baptism. They did a beautiful dance depicting the words of a worship song before a sunrise baptism on an Easter Sunday while I visited my sister in Hilo. I was asked by the pastor to photograph the event but did not ask permission to post these women's images (although they would probably have signed a model release.) Hence the artistic rendering. It was truly inspiring to watch them in their colorful garb. This was at Wai'olena state beach park I believe. Beaches in the Hilo area are covered with sharp volcanic rock. Unkind to bare feet and soft rubber soled shoes, but beautiful and interesting to view.
