The Yarn Market ~ Dunster

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This fine 17th century timber-framed octagonal market hall is a monument to Dunster's once-flourishing cloth trade. Here is a picture from 1880 of this street.

A good captured beautiful piece of history. I've seen more of those good protected historic marketplaces in your country and I really respect the way they keep this kind of monuments, but also the castles, old manors, etc. in such a beautiful condition.

Greetings,

Jack

Thank you Jack. A lot of these places rely on funds from the membership of English Heritage and The National Trust (UK), both of which I am a member. All the best, Rosa.
