This is such an unusual perspective that it looks very awkward, almost unnatural.

Tom Cooper (AustinMN… ~ The magic of bird flight seems to me Tom is that freezing each moment in time suggests that half the time it has no business being in the air at all ~~~

This bird is faster than his amazed shadow? Great to see you were even faster. Three very effective frames.

Nick Knack ~ I was taking the mud really Nick ~ the heron just got in the way :))) In truth I had to wait ages to get this little series of shots ~ The Heron was having much fun fishing ~~ All the best ~ nick

Well done that man.

The (only) good thing about getting older is that our patience grows and we are more prepared to sit around and wait for the shot to develop.

I even carry a fold up stool with me...........

David Brown Photogra…, ~ LOL ~ So true ~ for this series of shots though I was leaning over the balcony with a heavy camera and lens waiting for the moment it was going to take off ~~~~ and that took forever and of course Sod's law would mean if I took a breather then the Heron would choose that moment to up and away :~)
