Thanks - actually the mapping of the mines in the area is a mess on my GPS and frankly in Google. I guess we still haven't found Radio Crystal (or don't know that we have). I've changed the title this date (Aug 25, 09) we'll see how long it takes Google to catch up.
It's all gone now, thanks to the BLM. The owner, John Lear, was a few days late with his paper work and was forced out by them under pressure from Dem Harry Reid and his wilderness land grab to garner campaign contributions from the Sierra Club. Even the ranger and other "field" BLM employees lobbied to have this mill, assay building, and office building turned into a historic site; but, it cleraly didn't fit in with Harry's long term plan to close off the entire Butte to anything but Sierra Club Hikers.

The mine is actually still in operation; but, not as it was in its heyday.
Treasure Hawk Mine, Cutthroat Mining Company owned by John Lear... but BLM will be shutting it down by Dec 2009...and plan to clear the buildings.
Radio Crystal is a pit further up the road

Being removed now (spring 2010) as the owners were a few days late with their renewal papers and were forced out.
