These flowers are not "spring" flowers for us in the PNW. They start to bloom in the summer more towards June when it is hotter, but the thing I love about them is they bloom all through summer and into fall. We actually had frost last night!

Hi Nawitka, I noticed the EXIF was missing. Is this system wide? I have not striped it out on purpose. All of the last group of Mt Diablo pics were taken on 3/30/08. By june down here we will be well on our way to looking like the map photo.

Hmm, well, my latest EXIFs are still there. I wonder if it is some optional setting on your editing or catalog software? It does get dry here in the summer. I thought that's why the Cal Poppies felt at home here. But we seldom get THAT dry. Most of our rain falls in the winter months.
