Magere Brug / Skinny Bridge (1934)

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The 'Magere Brug' (in English 'Skinny Bridge') is a bridge across the river Amstel in the Amsterdam city centre. The original bridge was build in 1691 and because this one was very narrow, the locals called it 'Magere Brug'. In 1871 it was demolished and rebuilt, but in 1934 it had to be done again. The bridge is made of white-painted wood.
