I remember the Rådhuspladsen well from a couple of business trips I took to København in 1986. I stayed at the SAS Royal Hotel, and my room looked down on the Rådhuspladsen and the railway station from 10 floors up.

Greetings from northern California,

Paul

I didn't exactly expect someone from Northern California to have visited Denmark, but you are most welcome. Most people who visit Denmark will probably make acquaintance with Rådhuspladsen because that's like Times Square in New York (not that famous but the center of the city.)But there is a lot more to Denmark than just Copenhagen. Thank you for stopping by. Many greetings Per

Per, at the time I visited your beautiful country I was living in Los Angeles and working in the aerospace industry.

One of my subcontractors was in Grenå, so I had the chance to visit both the capital city and the mainland. I enjoyed my brief time there very much, and I became very familiar with the walking areas of København. I would get up early and walk around discovering new places. I would then go back to the hotel and meet my workmates for breakfast, then take them and show them what I had discovered.

I would like to return as a tourist and visit my old favorite haunts and also see more of the country, and spend more time with the wonderful people.

Greetings from an Englishman in far northern California,

Paul

Maybe the firm you are refering to is therma which I know is working with very sophisticated 'spacethings' (that was the best word I could find right now). It is very kind of you to describe my native country as beautful. I'm sure that your country is exatly as beautiful, be it England or America

many greetings from Per

I knew the company as the "Per Udsen Company", but I understand they have changed their name to "Terma". They still make sophisticated devices. The program I worked on with them was the F-16 aircraft. Since Denmark purchased F-16s for their own defense, a portion of each contract was returned to companies in the buying country as "offset contracts".

I also worked with companies in England, Germany, Norway, Holland, Greece and Israel on the same and other programs.

I'm now happily retired from aerospace and spending my days working for local government in road maintenance engineering. Quite a change, but far more pleasant!

Greetings,

Paul

Yes, I know that they have been involved with the development of the f-16, but nowadays they amongst other things are producing parts for the newly landed Mars spacecraft. f.x. some kind of device to messure the magnetic fields on the surface of Mars. Well, to me that all seems very complicated, being a common worker. It's very interesting to hear about these things you have been working with.

Best wishes and kind regards, Per
