Whilst it's good to see the removal of these municipal mistakes, one wonders what became of the hundreds of residents who were condemned to exist in these shabby monstrosities...
Dear Bob, I moved into Waine House soon after completion in 1965. We did not enjoy living there as we felt so isolated once the door closed. the lift broke down every other day we were lucky enough to get re-homed when the then new wilkin estate was built.
