Wallaroo Jetty

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The Wallaroo jetty is 869 meters long and up to 36 meters wide. It was originally built in 1861 and has since been updated, this being the third version. In the early days it was used for copper export serving the nearby mines but now it is mainly used in conjunction with a bulk handling conveyor for wheat export. In 2005-2006 almost half a million tonnes of cargo were handled.
