Neslon Island

Neslon Island,one of five islands off Trinidad's northwest coast in the Gulf of Paria,was used as a quarantine center for indentured Indians coming from India to work in Trinidad sugarcane fields from May 1845 -1917.The island is now being looked at as a National heritage site.Indian Arrival Day is a public holiday celebrated on May 30th in Trinidad & Tobago each year since 1995.
