Hi, Richard I'm impressed by your walk. I once looked into walking from Kerema myself, so it was great to find your pictures. maybe I should start planning again. How many days did it take you from Kerema to Goroka, and was it difficult to find guides?
I have some PNG pics on Panoramio as well, and if you'd like to see what I have been up to, look into my webpage www.underabigsky.com Apinun, Jan

Hi Jan it did takes 19 Days to reach Goroka but you can make it faster iv you not plan for rest in some of the nice Villages on the Way. When you like to find Guids go to the Katholic Mission they will help you to find good Guids. And the Way is very nice but hard because there are many Mountains. I was one of the first who complete this Route from Kerema to Madang.

I am intrigued by your walk north of Kerema... I worked most of these creeks during the 1970s and 1980s as a petroleum geologist including what I believe was the first ascent of the Aure Scarp from the north. When did you walk and can you describe your exact route. I am geodirect@optusnet.com.au
