Thank you Dan there is very little about with exception of this site, I did see it on News 12 NJ on TV but nothing on their site. I don't know what to really say I love trains but when the RR company doesn't use the tracks anymore like several crossings taken out etc homes - buildings built right on the right of way, I say rail trail. The old Erie Caldwell branch has business parking lots and houses right on the old right of way no trail, no tracks.. If you are on FaceBook or can support the Ice and Iron Rail Trail please check out their page.. If the trail doesn't become reality it probably will become parking lots and roadways..

Even though I'm in my late 20's I remember around 12 years ago NS using the line for a business or just storage of about 3 to 5 tank cars.. I think about 4 years ago they pulled any remaining cars off the line, then the Jackson Ave crossing, NS took it up and just put pavement down no more crossing.. As of now, the remaining business have left and now I think plans are in place for housing, development..
