I had no idea these little creatures (Argia agrioides - California Dancer Damselfly) were so cute up close. This was taken while standing in almost a meter of water.

WOW! What a wonderful close-up of this damselfly, Ken! All details are sharp and clear when viewing it in full screen! It's a species I've never seen overhere, must be native to North America! Thanks for joining my drafonfly group!:) Greetings from Germany, Anne

Anne, thanks for your warm welcome into your Odonata group!

These adorable blue damselflies are the most common of all damselflies here. How lucky!
Greetings from California! - Ken

A really great one, Ken! Good pose, and good focus throughout (something I'm struggling with with these guys)

Thank you Ingo, Catherine, Martine-B, and Méry 3°.

If you are still listening after all this time, theverbiage, this is a blend of several shots taken while rotating the focus ring. I haven't figured out yet how to get good focus throughout with a single shot.

Thank you, Ken - yes, I'm still tuned in )) That's what I do, too - it seems that once you get pretty close, not enough of your subject is in focus.
