Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Dubrovnik was surrounded by walls from its earliest inception. A rest of the oldest city wall comes from the

5th century.

City walls in the present Gothic-Renaissance appearance were built or reconstructed from 12th-17th century.

The total length: 1.94 km, thickness: 1.5-6 m, height of the walls in the port section of the city is slightly

lower, while their height is 22-25 m in the mainland. The walls are reinforced with 15 towers.
