Is this surface the result of the seawater? If yes, I fear they will not stand very long there.

hi kerr. there are 100 statues spread across 3km of the beach, some are more exposed to the tide than others, funny enough this one is closest to the coastal wall and isnt so exposed.they are cast iron and have permanent site on the beach, they have withstood the elements for 3 years now!

i love the way they have weathered almost becoming one with the environment itself. the more i look at the face in this picture its as if the eyes are going to suddenly pop open at me...!
