don't know your name, except from here, but we used to hang at the iron bridge and graveyard beside it. have a drink and go to the April Wine concert at the New Glasgow stadium in the late 70's early 80's. i'm from tremont st. in the south end. knew a lot of people from your area.

I lived on MacDonald St. then moved to Chisholm St. in the early 60's We seldom went past the Stellarton end of the bridge--that was foreign territory!

i know exactly what you mean! someone trashed the graveyard in the early 80's. nobody was ever charged but rumor has it (according to the police) kids from new glasgow where not involved. haven't been back since i wonder if they fixed it up?

It has been fixed up, fenced with a locked gate and a plaque from the donor, a MacKay family. It looks a lot better now, kind of a heritage site with many of the original Hector passengers buried there.
