Those wings are very beautiful when fully enlarged ~~~

I noticed that capturing them in the air is a real challenge. Time really flies when you try it.

Gold and green sure do go well together. Hmmm... Is that why all the money over here is green?

Here is one of those challenge shots you mentioned. Southern Hawker.

Hmmmm... Sixten I was wondering how to link to a Junebug (Ann) picture when I then read Ken's comment (and link).

Oh well she IS the master (mistress?).

It's getting Dragonfly season here also. They are slowing down and willing to pose.

Best of luck in cathing one - David

Thank you for another nice comment, Jean-Pierre.

And thanks for the good recommendation, Ken and David. Astonishing aerial action.

Best wishes

Wonderful picture of Libellula quadrimaculata! It looks like a jewel with its shining wings and golden abdomen! I like it very much! Ken and David, thank you for your kind words (I read your comments!:) Best wishes, Anne

Thank you very much, Anne. Although in the caption I tell now how easy this dragonfly is to recognize it of course requires that some friendly Panoramian tells its name first :). Very nice of you!

Greetings from Finland
