Thanks Nicolas. There are a lot of islands along here, and most of them could probably be named the same, at least during the winter. This section of the Mississippi valley is the second largest bald eagle wintering site in the country, after northern California. There are a couple of islands together, Eagles Nest and Piasa, that are meant to be wildlife refuges. But the eagles don't seem to mind people, as long as no one gets too close.
