The College of St Paul's Stony Stratford

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Anyone interested in olde English historie would be well advised to brush up on Stony Stratford. Not only is the birthplace of the Cock and Bull story but it has a great Indian Restaurant in the chapel of St Paul's College. St Paul's College was built in 1863 and has been, in order.... a college, a cigar factory, an orphanage, and finally a mixed use building - residential and business, including an Indian restaurant in the apsidal chapel.

And has a charming lock of just a couple of feet drop on the Grand Union canal.

Would that be lock number 21 KC? Nearer Wolverton than Stony though. We walked again over the Iron whatsit Aqueduct - are you into canals?

Have a good weekend ol' buddy - David (back safely in NC).
