Gorgeous! I was there in 1995 - a long, long time ago...
Kwalit, thanks...it is still there.. Come and see it again..}:-))) Greetings from Vegas
It was a great trip in 1995: San Francisco, HWY #1, Carmel, San Simeon, Bakersfield, Sequoiah NP, Las Vegas, Valley of Fire, Utah: Zion & Brycecanyon, Hanksville, Natural Bridges, Monument valley, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, again HWY #1 and Fisco for some days - I hope to come there again!
kwalit, you hit a lot of great spots !!! Include Yosemite next time !!! The West is full of fantastic places..
Thanks for visiting..
the weatherforecast was not so fine for Yosemite that time (Snow in late October) - that was the reason why I missed it :-(
kwalit, if the rangers let you in, ( The park is open ) the place is absolutely gorgeous in the winter..Ansel Adams spent a good part of his life photographing the place. There is an Ansel Adams museum/store in the Yosemite Valley..
Ansel Adams is also very famous in Austria - I wanted to see his photos and the museum but my car had very bad tires (only for summer)...
My granddaughter just been kayaking down the Merced river, in the Yosemite Valley...
May enjoy some of Adam's work here:
