Greetings, Jenper & Robin!
I'm so happy that you both enjoyed the cowboy & his horses. I am constantly entranced with with the entire horse/cowboy scene. I just can't get enough! :)
Robin, no, I haven't seen that movie, and now I am very eager to go right out and rent it. We always watch a movie on Sunday night, so maybe that will be the one for this Sunday! Thank you so much for the recommendation! :)
Jenper, Yes, Georgia is where I was born and raised, and where I still live today. I love it here. :) Also, when I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a cowgirl as well, but it hasn't happened for me yet. I still have time though! Maybe one day I will have a horse and can ride off into the sunset...... :)
Thank you both so much for your kind visits.
Greetings,
Mary Alice

Thank you both so much for your visits!
It seems that everyone wants to be a cowboy! "We should have learned to rope and ride!" ;)
Sean, indeed, he does sit well! He has excellent posture! I was actually thinking the exact same thing when I took the picture!
I'm so glad that you all enjoyed the shot, and thank you again for your very kind praise.
Greetings,
Mary Alice

Yes, Jenper, Better late then never! :) You are very correct! I am holding out for the day that I WILL ride! I have to believe that it will happen! :)
I bet riding bareback was heavenly! You were very lucky to have done that. I am envious!
I find it very interesting that you know about Sherman's March! Very good! At least now you also know what Georgia looks like too! :)
Thanks for always leaving the nicest messages! I hope you have a wonderful Friday.
Sincerely,

To day the informatic sisten seems to be break down! When I was a Child I Had a vinile record where a march called "Marching Throug Georgia" was in. I must say I don't know too much about USA,only throug TV and cinema films. Yes I was very happy in my thirteens, horses, cows, sheeps and donkeys, ja,ja,ja. Young donkeys are very difficult to ryde!! Happy weekend!!
MaryAlice, on April 11, said:
Young donkeys? You used to ride young donkeys? I've never been on a donkey! It sounds like your childhood was full of fun! Horses, sheep, donkeys and cows! Wow! :)
The most we have around here are dogs, cats and ducks! Cows and horses are just around the corner though, and I visit them quite often!
Happy Saturday to you, Jenper! It's always great hearing from you! :)
Mary Alice
P.S. Indeed, you can learn quite a lot about the USA through cinema films! I think that's great!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Marlboro Country, huh? Yes indeed, it does seem rather fitting!
I don't smoke either, nor does the cowboy, but I can totally see where you're coming from! They look like they could easily be a swell advertisement for the company.
I hope you're enjoying your Sunday, and thanks again for your kind visit.

MaryAlice, on April 14, said:
Yes! Yes! "GONE WITH THE WIND" was filmed about an hour away from where I live!
Too cool, huh? :) It's really a small world!
I love that movie too! I need to go and take some pictures of the area for you. Maybe I will do that here soon.
Happy Monday, Jenper!

Cheers,

MaryAlice, on April 14, said:
That happens to me a lot, Rich! ;) All too often horses become smitten with young female photographers! Winking becomes quite a problem when it's not what you had in mind for the photograph!
I'm kidding you know! ;)
Happy evening to you! I'm so happy that you stopped by for a visit.
Warm regards,
Mary Alice

Wow, Mary Alice, is an impressive picture, because it treat about a real person, it is not a movie!! Sorry, but the only cow-boys I have seen was on TV or cinema. Thanks for share, and greetings from Buenos Aires (we have "gauchos"!!!, I must send you a picture of them) Cristina

Hard to believe there are still cowboys! Of course it's so different over here with our small fields and hedgrows. It would be pointless. Cattle are driven over short distances by a farmer and a stick (usually blocking the country roads). Over longer distance by lorries.

It's so nice to see you both! Indeed, let me assure you that cowboys are very much alive and well in Goergia! I have all the respect in the world for them too! Not only are they cowboys, but they are also true gentlemen as well ~ A wonderful refreshing combo in today's declining world.
Thank you both for your visit and for your interesting tid bits about your areas.
I will be taking more shots of cowboys soon, I'm quite certain! I'm in need of some cool action shots. :)
Greetings and thank you again for stopping by!

A far cry from the US Masters which is my insight into Georgia! I had no idea you had cowboys. It's great to see old traditions still alive and well.
MaryAlice, on April 17, said:
Indeed, Green Irish Eagle, there are many other things going on in Georgia besides the Masters. Cowboys outrank golfers ANYDAY in my book, but that's just me! :)
I've enjoyed your visits, and I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Mary Alice what have you done!!!
You've declared for a Georgia cowboy........... What chance have all your Panoramio admirers got of meeting that criteria!
It all makes sense now.....that other horse is yours, isn't it: right after this photo was taken, you two galloped off into the sunset!
I can't imagine how many broken hearts there are now in Panoramio Land.
Poor golfers too, I'm going to have to go now and lie down!!
Sean.
PS only joking (Ireland is full of cowboys - right Gerry!!).

Yes Sean and a few Bandits too ;-)
MaryAlice, on April 18, said:
My dearest Sean:
I assure you, I didn't mean to insult the many golfer of the world, especially not YOU! I was merely suggesting that I admire the noble, hard working cowboy and respect his knowledge, skill, and high standards.
Unfortunately, the second horse was not mine, and I didn't get to ride it off into the sunset. :(
Please raise your head and proudly swing that golf club! It's just that I don't know very much about golf, that's all! I'm quite certain that golfers hold a high standard of excellence as well, right? :)
Have a wonderful day, my dear friend.
Most sincerely,
Mary Alice

A new intuition arises to this discussion when I read Georgia: it's "Georgia on my mind", an old song who has a list of interprets as long as this horse's tail.
And if I read something about riding into the sunset then I think of Lucky Luke. Don't know if he's well known in US. :)
Madidi, on April 18, said:
Dear Mary Alice, no malice intended, just glad it's Friday afternoon and feeling a little mischievous.
You couldn't insult a golfer,(unless you're commenting on their swing!!) : -).
By way of apologies, I have posted another photo for you!
Have a great weekend,
Sean.

I don't suppose you have Indians to 'head them off at the pass'?
Panoramio is full of surprises - Cowboys in Georgia, Voltures in Florida, LLamas in Canada.
One of the things I like about golf is the abundance of wildlife on our watery course. Last time I was out there the swans were mating and a third one was trying to get in on the act! There was a big aerial chase that looked like a Battle of Britain dogfight. No photos though - I can't multi task!

Greetings on this beautiful Saturday!
I am so sorry to disappoint you, but we don't have any indians on the farm! :( Too bad, huh? That would be very interesting indeed!
It sounds as though you have plenty to keep you entertained while golfing. Wow! I think you really should consider keeping your camera with you out there, just in case! ;)
I hope you have a spectacular Saturday, Gerry!
Thanks for your visit.
