A Survival Story!

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

I lived in this garden-house 25 years ago when the neighborhood still had the character of a serene countryside. Then, during the construction boom of late nineties most houses were demolished and replaced by upscale apartment buildings. My residence, though, survived; the old owner passed away and, since the inheritors were living overseas, there was no one around to develop the property. Thus survived my cherished memories of the place.

Very interesting place of the time of your childhood!

These buildings are very strong and they live a long, long

time. In part of my country may to see a such old houses

made of clay bricks. They are not a lot now, now has a new

and modern , but the house of my grandfather is alive yet and

it seems very good. The facade of the house is slightly updated, only

re-framed the windows and it looks almost like new. :)))

Of course, the house is plastered on the outside! And inside

I have not seen soon, there are other owners. How many more years

will last? Some day I will go there to take a photo of it!

Thanks for shared! It is very interesting! All the best to you, Maya
