This view is from an overlook above the Cueva del Milodon archaeological site, the cave in which prehistoric remains of the extinct Giant Sloth were discovered from from circa 10,000 BC, as well as prehistoric human habitation. These Giant Sloth remains are on display in the Punta Arenas Archaeological Museum. In the distant view are inlets, which in the early Holocene would have extended much closer to the Cueva del Milodon.
